Alestorm are Touring The Thunderfist Chronicles

The tour is in support of their eighth studio album, The Thunderfist Chronicles. The album was released on 20 June 2025. Lasse Lammert produced the album at LSD Studios, and it is the follow-up to their 2024 EP, Voyage of the Dead Marauder.

The closing track, Mega-Supreme Treasure of the Eternal Thunderfist, runs for a whopping 17 minutes and features guest vocals from Patty Gurdy, who recently went on tour with Sabaton.

Battle Beast Begin a New Chapter

Battle Beast will be joining Alestorm, this time touring with their new singer, Brazilian vocalist Mina La Torraca from female supergroup Exit Eden. Mina La Torraca replaced long-time frontwoman Noora Louhimo in December 2025 after Louhimo departed after 13 years with the group.

Torraca also fronts modern metal band Phantom, with her vocal style combining theatrical delivery, harsh screams and melodic singing. She made her debut with Battle Beast on 6 March 2026 at WWWX in Tokyo, Japan.

The new tour is set to give fans the chance to experience a new era of Battle Beast as the band continues with their updated line-up.

Wizardthrone Complete the Line-Up

Opening the shows will be Wizardthrone, the cosmic metal project from Christopher Bowes, the mastermind behind both Alestorm and Gloryhammer.

Performing under the name C. Hyperiax Bowes, he handles the band's synthesiser arrangements and keyboards. Wizardthrone also features an accomplished lineup of musicians with links to several other projects.

The band includes Keiran Allen on bass, Matthew Bell on guitar, Michael Barber on vocals, and Isak Olsson on drums.

The sound is notably different from Alestorm’s pirate metal music, combining death metal influences with symphonic black metal and cosmic science-fiction concepts.

The band’s debut album was released in 2021 through Napalm Records. Hypercube Necrodimensions is the band’s only material to date, making their appearance on the tour a welcome opportunity for fans to see the project live.

With pirate metal, symphonic power metal and cosmic extreme metal all on the same bill, Alestorm’s 2027 UK and Ireland tour promises one of the most varied packages of the year.
