Lancaster’s Coyote Black Release Debut EP 'From the Sea' with More Music on the Way

29 Oct 2026

After forming in 2026, Coyote Black are already making their presence felt within the local music scene.

Combining the weight of Black Sabbath with the desert swagger of Queens of the Stone Age, they’ve created a unique fusion of heaviness and melody which gives them a distinctive sound that echoes the greats. The five-piece have been working hard, and have already released their debut EP, From the Sea, with a follow-up, Through the Fire, due in November.

Coyote Black Unites Seasoned Musicians with Proven Chemistry

Drummer Adam Lucas, bassist Charlie Burns, and guitarist Graham Simpson have played in bands together for the best part of a decade. When their previous project, PJT & The Crow Mandala, came to an end, they decided to take their sound in a heavier direction. Guitarist Henry Greenwood joined, and their search for a frontman led them to Last Dan Standing, whose soulful vocals add a distinctive edge, completing the line-up.

Years of playing together help to give the new project a solid foundation, making Coyote Black one of the most exciting names to emerge from the Lancaster rock and heavy metal music scene.

From the Sea, Through the Fire

Their debut EP, From the Sea, introduced the band with four original tracks, which include ‘Crystalline II’, ‘The Wychwood’, ‘Veil’ and ‘Dopamine’. The EP is available to stream across all platforms, including Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Spotify. It also marks the first instalment in an exciting, planned sequence of releases.

Through the Fire is due to land in November 2026, and features the lead track, “Vultures”. Two more EPs, Beneath the Stone and Beyond the Pale, are set to follow.

Speaking to Lancashire Loud, Coyote Black explained that all four releases cover growth, pain, love, and evolution, with the music carrying the emotional weight of those topics.

As Coyote Black continues to develop their sound across each instalment, there are exciting things ahead, and plenty for fans to look forward to.
