Cancer Research Charity Rock Night Announced in Preston
28 Jul 2026
A special charity rock night has been announced at The Ferret in Preston, and it's one you don't want to miss.
Local musicians are coming together to raise money for Cancer Research.
Taking place on Friday, August 21, the event aims to raise awareness of cancer while bringing people together.
Seven Bands Taking to the Stage
The event will feature a full evening of rock music from established Lancashire acts, including Fallen North and Rockateurs. Other bands on the bill include 4GEN7, Smoke Over Elsewhere, Between Polarities, Incarnage, and Red's Alive.
Entry to the event is £5, with all proceeds going to Cancer Research. A GoFundMe page has also been launched for those who wish to contribute to the fundraising effort.
Colin Hope, vocalist for Fallen North has organised the event, which you can find out more about here.
A Night for a Worthy Cause
The Ferret is one of Lancashire's best-known grassroots music venues, and the event aims to celebrate the strength of the local community while supporting research into one of the biggest health challenges in the UK.
Cancer Research UK funds the scientists working to improve cancer prevention, detection and treatment. Events like this play a vital role in generating the support needed to continue that life-saving work.
Event Details
The Cancer Research Charity Rock Night begins at 6 pm, Friday, August 21, at The Ferret, 55 Fylde Road, Preston, with live music throughout the evening and donations welcome at the door.
