DragonForce Announce New Album and Release “Hunger of the Beast”
23 Sept 2026
DragonForce have announced their tenth studio album, which will be called DragonForce.
The self-titled record is due to drop on 19 March 2027, and its first single, “Hunger of the Beast”, is out on streaming platforms. This will be the band’s first album featuring Alissa White-Gluz and Alessio Garavello on vocals.
The announcement follows a huge change to the DragonForce line-up. Longtime singer Marc Hudson is stepping back from recording and touring in 2026 and 2027 because of an ongoing issue with tinnitus. Although he remains involved behind the scenes, this marks a new era for DragonForce and a new approach to their iconic sound.
Garavello, a longtime friend of DragonForce and Hudson’s former vocal coach, has taken on the male vocal parts and will be singing alongside Alissa White-Gluz.
“Hunger of the Beast” is a glimpse into how the partnership will sound on record. The album also features guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman, bassist Alicia Vigil, and drummer Gee Anzalone.
Jens Bogren produced the album, and recording took place across Sweden, Canada, the US and the UK. DragonForce have released a statement saying the album will draw on the speed and big hooks associated with their earlier music, while giving the expanded line-up plenty of room to breathe.
The release comes as the band revisits Inhuman Rampage, the 2006 album that featured classics like “Through the Fire and Flames” and “Operation Ground and Pound”. They will celebrate the record on a North American tour this November and December.
