Erotic Secrets of Pompeii Are Bringing Apocalyptic Lounge Music to Preston

The apocalyptic lounge act will be performing at the iconic Lancashire venue on Thursday 17 September, with support from Peer Pleasure and Zvilnik. Bringing theatrical eccentricity, experimental rock and punk, it’s going to be a show to remember.

Erotic Secrets of Pompeii have a distinctive presentation with vivid symbolism, making them one of the most interesting and exciting acts to come out of Bristol. 

Their influences go far beyond music, extending to artists and filmmakers including Terry Gilliam, Salvador Dali, Francis Bacon, and William Blake.

Erotic Secrets of Pompeii Made Their Mark with Mondo Maleficum

Erotic Secrets of Pompeii released their debut album, Mondo Maleficum, in January 2024. It was followed up with Pitchfork Libra in October 2025, and the band are currently touring across the UK and Europe.

Their music has received airplay from BBC Radio 6 Music, Radio X and BBC Introducing. They have performed at Boomtown, The Great Escape, Shambala and Bearded Theory, and in the past, have supported Electric Six and Heavy Lungs.

European Dates and Two Shows in One Day

The band’s current tour has already seen Erotic Secrets of Pompeii perform in Germany, where they appeared at the Haldern Pop Festival. They played two sets during the festival, with an 11 am performance inside a packed pub, followed by an early-evening show in the festival tent. 

Playing their latest song, Crowstepper, the band showed exactly why they belong on bigger stages. 

The shows introduced them to new fans and showcased their dedication not only to music, but also to putting on unforgettable performances across very different stages. 

Upcoming Music from Erotic Secrets of Pompeii 

A new single, Body Horrific, is set to land on 3 September 2026. 

Erotic Secrets of Pompeii are also working on a new album, and interestingly, it features a Taishogoto. Also known as the Nagoya harp, the stringed instrument was invented in 1912 by Goro Morita.

Next for Erotic Secrets of Pompeii are two festival appearances. They’re playing Beautiful Days in Devon on Friday 21 August, followed by ArcTanGent on Saturday 22 August. 

Held at Fernhill Farm, ArcTanGent hosts 100 acts with a focus on innovative artists, making Erotic Secrets of Pompeii a very natural addition to the stacked 2026 line-up.

With festival appearances, a busy tour run and new music on the way, Erotic Secrets of Pompeii are entering the second half of 2026 with some serious momentum. 

Their upcoming date at the Ferret offers Lancashire fans the chance to catch the band and their theatrical show before the tour rolls on. It’s one you don’t want to miss.

The Preston show at The Ferret starts at 7 pm, with advance tickets priced at £12. The show is open to anyone aged 14 or over, although under-18s must attend with a responsible adult.
