Iron Maiden Sell Name, Image, Likeness Rights and Music Catalogue to Pophouse

19 Jul 2026

Pophouse Entertainment, the investment firm co-founded by ABBA’s Björn Ulvaeus, has announced that it is entering into a partnership with British heavy metal legends Iron Maiden.

The company has acquired a 50% stake in the publishing and master music rights. The deal also includes the rights to the band’s mascot, Eddie.

Pophouse paid £300 million for a similar deal with KISS, although the percentage acquired in that deal remains unclear. The partnership with Iron Maiden has been developed over the last year between Pophouse and Andy Taylor, the band’s co-manager. The deal will enable Iron Maiden to pursue more creative ventures while also allowing them to bring their extensive catalogue to whole new audiences.

Iron Maiden is one of the longest-running and most influential metal bands of all time, having sold over 100 million records across 17 studio albums. The band is a touring powerhouse and has legions of fans who follow them on their frequent tours.

Pophouse and Iron Maiden have already launched their creative collaboration, the Infinite Dreams Museum, in partnership with Pophouse. It celebrates 50 years of Iron Maiden history and has generated a lot of publicity for the band.

Eddfest at Knebworth was the chance to create Maidenville for fans, with Eddie-themed attractions and whole new experiences.

Plans include expanding interactive fan experiences, as well as developing a full universe centred on Eddie.

Jessica Koravos has said that Iron Maiden is one of those bands with such a rich catalogue that it opens up countless creative possibilities. Pophouse’s partnership means the band has more investment and creative firepower than ever.

Rod Smallwood, Iron Maiden’s manager, has said that he’s excited about the relationship, as they now have the opportunity to finance many more plans than originally expected.
