Rachel Wyche Releases New Single ‘What Would You Expect From Me?’

16 Oct 2026

Singer-songwriter Rachel Wyche has released her latest single, ‘What Would You Expect From Me?’.

After a busy run of local performances, as well as notable appearances at Morecambe Music Festival and Lancaster Music Festival, Rachel Wyche has released her latest single, ‘What Would You Expect From Me?’.

The latest single follows ‘Somethin’ Bout You’, which landed on the 31st of July, and marks the second instalment in a three-part series.

The third track, ‘Back to Square One’, is planned for November, with a stripped-back acoustic EP to follow in 2027.

A Self-Taught Guitarist with a Bright Musical Future

After learning piano at an early age, she taught herself how to play guitar at 15.

Taking inspiration from Alanis Morissette’s songwriting and Lzzy Hale’s bold delivery, she quickly carved out her niche and took to stages across Lancashire.

By making personal storytelling the heart of her music, Rachel is an inspiring artist with plenty of northern grit.

When she’s not busy writing, recording and releasing her own material, she regularly performs across the North West. Audiences can find her either taking to the stage as a solo artist or playing as part of Day for the Ducks with fellow musician Joe Vidot.

A Busy Year of Performances

Rachel’s live calendar has been packed with performances.

Earlier in the year, Wyche joined a charity bill at the Gregson Arts & Community Centre in Lancaster and helped raise money for an important cause. Joining other local acts, including

The Arcane Hope, Ook and The Elephant and Katoush, she helped to raise vital funds for WithYou, a UK charity.

After performing at Morecambe Music Festival in July, Wyche has played in local pubs, coffee bars and on the Gallows stage at Lancaster Castle. She’s also appeared on the Unsigned show, a weekly radio programme that spotlights independent music talent.

Following her six gigs at Lancaster Music Festival 2026, Rachel plans to headline Brodur Motorcycle Club’s annual festival and is also set to join the line-up at Kendal Rocks 2027.

Three Singles Ahead of a 2027 EP

‘Somethin’ Bout You’ dropped in July, with clean and explicit versions available. Today’s release, ‘What Would You Expect From Me?’, continues that journey, with ‘Back to Square One’ completing the run in November.

With a stripped-back acoustic EP planned for 2027, Wyche is giving listeners plenty to look forward to. Alice Kay-Wood, who made the artwork, has created not only a visual representation of what to expect from the tracks but also a cohesive identity that ties the releases together.
