Ward XVI Announce New Member and Free Christmas Show at The Ferret

8 Sept 2026

Preston’s own theatrical metal band Ward XVI are bringing their dark and twisted world to The Ferret for a very special show in December.

The band is headlining Deck the Balls 2026 on Saturday 19 December, and entry is free.

Presented by Madhouse Promotions, The Ferret and Elder Emo UK, the show falls on the Saturday before Christmas. It’s set to be an unhinged alternative to the usual festival celebrations, and is an event you don’t want to miss.

Ward XVI shared the news with fans, saying: “Psychoberrie has been on the Xmas spirits and decided it will also be free entry!!! INSANITY!!”

Known for immersive live performances, striking outfits, and horror-laden theatrics, the band is going to make this a very special event for anyone who wants to trade the usual Christmas songs for something louder and more macabre.

Ward XVI Welcome New Member

Ward XVI have also recently expanded their ranks, confirming that Dan Myers of Aphotic Sky has joined the band permanently.

Ward XVI said they had been so impressed with how Myers had settled into the “asylum” during his time with them that they had decided to “change the locks” and keep him there for good.

Now known within the band as DANARKHY, Myers becomes the latest member of Ward XVI’s world.

Support for the event is yet to be announced.
