Ghost Confirm Details of Their 2 Big to Rig Skeletour Concert Film

19 Jul 2026

Those who weren’t lucky enough to see Ghost’s Skeletour shows will be glad to know that their much-hyped concert film, 2 Big to Rig, is coming to cinemas very shortly.

A teaser was released in May, confirming that the film would arrive in the summer. It has now been announced that it will be shown in both IMAX and traditional cinemas from 26 August. The film will only have a limited theatrical run, with tickets going on sale from 23 July.

The footage was captured on 16mm film during the band's two sold-out performances at Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City. The shows took place in September 2025, with more than 40,000 fans in attendance.

The title is a nod to the band's desire to bring the Skeletour to fans who missed seeing it in person, as staging the production in some locations simply wasn't possible from a logistical standpoint.

Following on from the 2024 concert film Rite Here Rite Now, 2 Big to Rig takes fans behind the scenes while also showcasing the live performance itself. It highlights the crew members who worked tirelessly to bring the production to life, alongside professionally shot footage of Papa V Perpetua.

Fans who go and watch the 2 Big to Rig show can expect to hear songs from the band’s Skeletour setlist, which included:

  • Square Hammer

  • Ritual

  • Peacefield

  • Rats

  • Darkness at the Heart of My Love

  • Year Zero

  • Mary on a Cross

  • Call Me Little Sunshine

  • Majesty

  • Dance Macabre

  • Satanized

  • Spirit

  • Kiss the Go-Goat

  • Per Aspera ad Inferi

  • Mummy Dust

  • Umbra

  • He Is

  • Monstrance Clock

  • Cirice

  • Devil Church

  • The Future Is a Foreign Land

  • Lachryma

  • Sorrow in the Wind

Kymberli Frueh of Trafalgar Releasing said the concert was captured on 16mm film to create a nostalgic viewing experience and provide a fitting farewell to the Skeletour era. She also expressed pride in being able to share the film with cinema audiences around the world before Ghost goes on break. Fans can sign up for more information by visiting the 2 Big to Rig website.

Last year, Ghost's latest album, Skeleta, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, earning 86,000 album-equivalent units in its first week of release. Around 89% of that total came from traditional album sales, while vinyl accounted for 44,000 copies. Skeleta also became the first hard rock album to top the Billboard 200 since AC/DC's Power Up in 2020.
